Bark Thins

Oops… I made another chocolate recipe! I just really like having something to eat before bed and chocolate is usually what I grab for. Ive really been liking Bark Thins lately!! The only thing that I don’t love about them is soy is one of their ingredients, but other than that they are pretty good! I’m not against a little soy here and there but I do try to minimize it in my diet which is why I decided to make a Bark Thins copycat. And can I just say that they turned out perfect!! Happy Friday everyone

Bark Thins Copycat

Ingredients:

½ cup cacao butter

¼ cup cacao powder

2 tbsp. pumpkin/sunflower seeds

1-4 tbsp. maple syrup

Directions:

  1. Melt the cacao butter in double boiler (or a DIY version)
  2. Place the sunflower seeds on a pan to toast unless you bought toasted seeds
  3. Once the cacao butter is completely melted, whisk in the cacao powder until there are no chunks
  4. Slowly add the maple syrup in while whisking
  5. Add the toasted sunflower seeds and mix well
  6. Pour into a parchment lined 8×8 dish so they don’t get too thin when refrigerating
  7. Place in fridge for an hour then break into pieces
