Homemade Chocolates

Yay Thursday! I really haven’t found a chocolate that I 100% love so I decided to make my own💁🏻‍♀️ This makes it totally customizable and I got to say these came out delicious!! Now all I need is my own cacao bean tree and I’ll be in business😬

Chocolate Crunch Cups

1/2 cup cacao butter (I’ve never seen it in stores but you can buy it on Amazon, make sure it says food grade)

1/4 cup cacao powder

1/2 cup puffed rice

1/4 tsp. salt

1-4 tbsp. maple syrup

  1. Melt the cacao butter in a double boiler (I used a metal bowl on top of a pan)
  2. Once melted remove from pan and stir in the cacao powder. Make sure to stir until there are no lumps
  3. In a pan, toast the puffed rice for about 5 minutes to make sure they won’t get soggy  in the chocolate. Make sure to not let them burn
  4. Add the puffed rice, salt and maple syrup to the chocolate. You can add as much sweetener as you prefer. I did one tablespoon in ours and thought it was perfect but I usually enjoy 85-90% chocolate.
