If you’re looking for dinner you should make this👌🏼 It’s made in the Instant Pot for easy preparation and only one dish! This is an Indian-inspired dish, it includes so many spices which is normal in Indian cuisine, and it is delicious!
Shredded Beef Masala
Ingredients:
3lb beef roast or round steak*
1 large onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 can 14.5oz diced tomatoes
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. turmeric
1 tbsp. garam masala
½ tsp. cumin
½ tsp. ground coriander
½ tsp. cayenne
½ tsp. smoked paprika
1 tsp. lemon zest
½ cup fresh cilantro
ghee for cooking
Directions:
- Select sauté on the Instant Pot. Once hot, add ghee to coat the bottom and brown the meat on all sides. Transfer to plate and set aside
- Add onions to the pot (add more ghee if needed) and cook until translucent. Then add garlic, tomatoes and all da spices. Cook for a few minutes
- Transfer mixture to a food processor along with lemon zest and cilantro and blend until a sauce has formed
- Place meat back into the pot along with the sauce. Cook on Meat/Stew setting for 40 minutes. Let slow release. Once finished remove the lid and break up/shred meat. Serve on top of rice or spaghetti squash (or both😉)
