My mom came up with an Indian dish and it’s actually AMAZING! If you’re looking for dinner you should make this👌🏼 It’s made in the Instant Pot for easy preparation and only one dish! This recipe is so good because it includes so many spices which is normal in Indian cuisine SO TRY IT OUT!!👍🏼
Shredded Beef Masala
Ingredients:
3lb beef roast or round steak*
1 large onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 can 14.5oz diced tomatoes
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. turmeric
1 tbsp. garam masala
½ tsp. cumin
½ tsp. ground coriander
½ tsp. cayenne
½ tsp. smoked paprika
1 tsp. lemon zest
½ cup fresh cilantro
ghee for cooking
Directions:
- Select sauté on the Instant Pot. Once hot, add ghee to coat the bottom and brown the meat on all sides. Transfer to plate and set aside
- Add onions to the pot (add more ghee if needed) and cook until translucent. Then add garlic, tomatoes and all da spices. Cook for a few minutes
- Transfer mixture to a food processor along with lemon zest and cilantro and blend until a sauce has formed
- Place meat back into the pot along with the sauce. Cook on Meat/Stew setting for 40 minutes. Let slow release. Once finished remove the lid and break up/shred meat. Serve on top of rice or spaghetti squash (or both😉)
