Hot COCO

There’s nothing better than sipping on hot chocolate when it’s snowing out is there?? Well maybe laying by a beach but we can’t all have summer all of the time🙃 This is a spiced hit chocolate or a Mexican hot chocolate so it makes it a little more fancy😉 I used dates as the sweetener but you could swap them out for a tablespoon of your fav sweetener! And you could totally take out the pepper to make a regular hot chocolate! Don’t worry we will get through the cold together😬

Spiced Hot Chocolate

Ingredients:

1 ½ cup water or milk

2 dates, soaked in hot water for 5 minutes

1 tbsp. cacao powder

½ tsp. cinnamon

½ tsp. vanilla extract

a pinch of cayenne

1 scoop collagen (optional)

 

Directions:

  1. Warm milk of choice over the stove until warm
  2. Add milk to a blender then add dates, cacao powder, cinnamon, vanilla extract, cayenne and collagen peptides
  3. Serve with cinnamon and cayenne on top
