Its that time of year where squash is everywhere!! And that is not a bad thing 🙂 Spaghetti squash is one of my favorites but honestly I love all squash hah! Here is some reasons why you should add spaghetti squash to your cart next shopping trip!

  1. PASTA REPLACER- One cup of spaghetti squash is 42 calories and 10 grams of carbs plus loads of vitamins and minerals. One cup of spaghetti noodles has 220 calories and 43 grams of carbs… and not that many vitamins
  2. FIBER- The 2.2 grams of fiber in spaghetti squash keeps you feeling full
  3. OMEGA 3 FATTY ACIDS- Spaghetti squash contains the good fatty acids that keep inflammation down!
  4. FOLATE- Folate is especially important for pregnant women because it prevents birth defects (1). And spaghetti squash gives you a good serving of it! Folate also supports the formation of new cells in the body
