Asian Slaw

Happy Friday!!! Salads can be quite tasteless unfortunately… So you gotta change it up. That’s why this recipe is perfect!! It’s an Asian inspired slaw that uses fresh veggies👍🏼 This way you can get in different types of veggies and different types of nutrients. Switching foods up is important to stay on top of your health! And guys.. this taste great😬

Spicy Asian Slaw (print here)

Ingredients:

2 packages organic broccoli slaw

1 small red cabbage, shredded

1 sweet pepper, diced

½ cup toasted sesame seeds (could use sunflower seeds)

Dressing-

½ cup olive oil

2 tbsp. toasted sesame oil

½ cup tamari or coconut aminos

½ cup almond butter

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tbsp. ginger, fresh and grated

½ tsp. Chinese five spice seasoning

2 limes juiced

¼ cup chicken broth or water

Directions:

  1. Toss broccoli slaw, cabbage and pepper in a large bowl
  2. Blend all dressing ingredients together in a blender. If too thick add more water or broth
  3. Pour dressing over salad and toss to coat, top with sesame seeds and enjoy!
