Flaxseeds
- HIGH IN FIBER- Flaxseeds have 8 grams of fiber in an ounce. Flax seeds contain 20-40% of soluble fiber and 60-80% of insoluble fiber. Its important to get some insoluble fiber into your diet because this is what feeds your bacteria in your large intestine!
- OMEGA 3s- Heres those omegas 3 fats again! They are anti-inflammatory, they make your skin moisturized, and they help with digestion
- LOW CHOLESTEROL- A study done by The Journal of Nutrition and Metabolism found that adding flaxseeds to peoples’ diet actually lowered their cholesterol by 15%. (1)
- MAGNESIUM- Many Americans are deficient in magnesium, which is one of the nutrients the body uses for healthy bones! (2) Flaxseeds have 392mg of magnesium per 100 grams

[…] I saw flax crackers also called “flackers” in a store and I thought they were a good sub for people that don’t eat grains/are gluten free!! So of course I had to try to make them myself!! They are actually super easy to make and less expensive then buying them👍🏼 Flax also has some very good benefits that you can read about here […]
