Lemon Tahini Sauce Served on Cauliflower

I need to get better at titles HAH! As long as the food taste good it doesn’t matter right? This is a dish inspired by our Lebanese background and is usually served at middle-eastern restaurants, but it’s so much better when you make it at home so you know exactly whats in it!!! (and its usually fried… which means they are probably using a vegetable oil… and you should be trying to eliminate those from your diet as much as possible! Find out why here)😬 Hope you enjoy!

Cauliflower with Lemon Tahini Sauce (print here )

Ingredients:

1 cup tahini paste (sesame paste)

3/4-1 cup water (depending on how much you need)

1 clove minced garlic

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp pepper

1/4 cup minced parsley

1/2 cup fresh lemon juice

Directions

  1. In a blender, combine all ingredients starting with 3/4 cup of water then adding more if needed
  2. Blend well to combine
  3. Pour on cauliflower or use to dip. Can be used as a salad dressing as well

For cauliflower we cooked it on a pan with some coconut oil until browned, then placed on a parchment lined pan and baked in the oven for 10 minutes or until tender.
